Got some tidbits o' insight from a friend of mine last night about Bill Murray. She's given him a couple of massages after practice rounds. She reports he got the weird silk kimono number he wore at the Charity Shoot Out (above) at a Pacific Grove thrift store, that he is always in character, and that he told her pre-treatment, 'Seems like a fair fight—my tight body against your tight body.'

George Lopez had a couple of great lines the other day after a reporter mistakenly asked him how he likes living in P.G.: 'Pacific Grove? You insulting me?' he asked, then paused. 'Don't get me wrong—there's nothing a matter with P.G.—I just like to get a drink after 9.' He went on from there: 'I have a place in Pebble. Just because the lots are big doesn't mean we're bad people.' Today our own semi-local (his primary residence is near L.A.) joins the so-called 'A Group' of top draws at tricky Poppy Hills. (He goes off at 10:10am from the 10th tee.)
